Israeli Forces Detain Multiple Palestinians in West Bank Raids

(MENAFN) Israeli troops carried out raids across the occupied West Bank on Monday, detaining at least nine Palestinians, as stated by reports from the Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office.

Two teenage boys were taken into custody during a raid in the central West Bank town of Deir Abu Mashal, the office said.

In the northern Nablus governorate, one Palestinian was arrested after his home in the town of Hawara, south of Nablus, was raided, and another was detained in Asira al-Shamaliya, northwest of the city.

Israeli forces also apprehended one individual from the southern Hebron governorate and another from Fawwar refugee camp following searches of their homes.

In the southern Bethlehem governorate, three young men were detained after troops entered the town of Tuqu, southeast of the city.

The office noted that daily arrest campaigns continue across the West Bank, affecting people of various ages, including minors, amid what it described as ongoing escalation and repeated raids on towns and refugee camps. The operations often involve home searches and property damage, it added.

The Israeli military generally does not disclose reasons for the arrests, which Israel characterizes as part of “security campaigns” targeting individuals considered “wanted.”

Separately, Israeli forces conducted raids in the northern West Bank town of Yaabad on Monday, searching multiple homes and detaining several Palestinians, according to local resident Raed Abu Bakr.
